Course overview
The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF) formerly known as CTLLS, is suitable for those who are in or just about to start a teaching or training role. Learners will build a portfolio of evidence that will include written work, a teaching log and teaching observations. The qualification can be completed remotely by distance learning.

Duration study load
Typically, distance learning students complete this course within 6-9 months although students are able to take up to 12 months to complete the qualification. Extension options are available if required.
Entry requirements
Learners must be aged 19+ years to be enrolled on this course. You must be in a training or teaching role, or moving into a teaching role in the near future as you must be able to log 30 hours of teaching/training and be observed for three hours.

If you have already completed a previous teaching or assessor qualification, you may qualify for recognition of prior learning. One or more units may not need to be required. Send us a copy of your certificates to check this out.
Assessment
This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence which must cover all assessment criteria of the units selected.
Assessment methods include written essays, a training log (30hrs), self-reflection and 3 x one-hour teaching observations.
