Equivalent to a Master’s Degree, the CMI Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership course is designed to improve your practical ability to impact on organisational success at a strategic level.

These qualifications are designed for managers who have the authority and personal inspiration to translate organisational strategy into effective operational performance.

The qualifications require managers to build on their strategic management and leadership skills and to focus on the requirements of implementing the organisation’s strategy.

Learners can always choose any other combination of Units from the syllabus that they wish to research themselves, as long as they comply with the Rules of Combination.

CMI Level 7 Award in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice
Learners must complete 1 of the following units:
  • 701: Strategic Leadership
  • 702 :Leading and Developing People to Optimise Performance
  • 704: Developing Organisational Strategy
  • 706: Finance for Strategic Leaders
CMI Level 7 Award in Strategic Approaches to Equality Diversity and Inclusion
Learners must complete the following unit:
  • 715: Strategic Approaches to Equality Diversity, and Inclusion
CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice
Learners must complete 2 of the following units:
  • 701: Strategic Leadership
  • 702: Leading and Developing People to Optimise Performance
  • 704: Developing Organisational Strategy
  • 706: Finance for Strategic Leaders
  • 715: Strategic Approaches to Equality Diversity, and Inclusion
CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice
Learners must complete four units in total comprising of three of the following units:
  • 701: Strategic Leadership
  • 702: Leading and Developing People to Optimise Performance
  • 704: Developing Organisational Strategy
  • 706: Finance for Strategic Leaders
  • 715: Strategic Approaches to Equality Diversity, and Inclusion

And the following unit:

  • 612: Coaching Skills for Leaders
CMI Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice
Learners much complete the following:

The combination of units and approaches is discussed with each individual student to ensure that learning is tailored to their specific needs.

Learners must complete a combination of a minimum of 640 TQT hours and 64 credits to achieve this qualification.

Learners must achieve a minimum of 420 TQT hours, 42 credits selected from units 701-716, Group A only and 220.

TQT hours, 22 credits from either Group A or B. The minimum guided learning hours is 196.
