Entry requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or cognate discipline at a level equivalent to a UK second-class Honours degree.
- For International applicants whose first language is not English, an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band), or equivalent
- The school will consider non-standard applicants who can demonstrate that they have relevant and appropriate work experience in Computing or cognate discipline area, fulfilling a graduate position, over a sustained period of time, which will typically be 4 to 5 years

The supporting documents for the programme are:
- Bachelor’s degree (where applicable) at a level equivalent to a UK second-class Honours degree.
- A reference letter from a current or previous manager HR department or a person in a position of authority is required as supporting evidence.
- Personal identification documents e.g passport or I.D.
- A personal statement (approx. 3-500 words) and/or video presentation about why you want to study this programme.
- Proof of English Language Proficiency (POE) where applicable.
- POE exemption may be offered to students. Please speak to a Student Success Consultant to discover whether you are eligible for an exemption.

The aims of this module are to enable students to consider the characteristics of a range of novel applications of machine learning and neural computation.
Develop a deep and systematic understanding and a critical awareness of associated issues, some of which are at the forefront of machine learning and neural computation.
Describe a range of strategies associated with designing artificial neural networks. Develop an ability to apply the techniques described above, and develop new skills or procedures for new situations.
The aims of this module are to enable students to understand the underlying mechanisms of popular Al techniques. Be able to employ these Al techniques in software. Understand the ethics and risks behind using Al in applications.
The aims of this module are to enable students to investigate, evaluate and articulate relevant current research topics in the theory and practice of Al and surrounding areas.
Explore a range of ideas and techniques modelling properties of intelligence that can be captured symbolically or stochastically; Investigate the application of Artificial Intelligence (Al) techniques to problems important to Computer Science and robotics.
Develop skills in the building of Al systems through the use of appropriate programming languages, tools and methodologies.
This module is designed to enable students to select and apply artificial intelligence techniques to practically investigate a particular problem.
Furthermore, they will critically evaluate their own work. This module also aims to enable students to demonstrate that they can work independently with minimum supervision, efficiently plan their work, and present the results in both written and oral form.
Students will also extend their knowledge by making effective use of the technical and scientific literature, and other relevant materials.
